Message from the Captain

Hector & Harriet

Hector & Harriet have come to the end of their contract with the Club and have decided to pursue their business interests elsewhere.

We have come far on our journey to be ‘the best parkland course in Scotland’ with a course that is recognised as the best in the area and a clubhouse that reflects the aspirations of our Members. The area we have been addressing is the bar and catering service to Members which we aim to offer an equivalent standard.

Marsley and John contributed significantly to this on the catering side for which they have our thanks.

We intend to develop on the progress that has been made and are reviewing the options for the Club to achieve our aspirations.

In the meantime, we will ensure that the bar and catering service to Members will continue at a high standard, and thank you in advance for your understanding during this interim period.

Trespass Gents Open

The Trespass Gents Open attracted 180 competitors and proved to be a significant success for the Club. The winner was our own Shahzad Rafiq with a net 67 off a handicap of 9 and Steven Manning, our Club Champion, carded the lowest gross score, a fine 69. Well done to both.

Our thanks go to Afzal & Akmal Khushi of Trespass for sponsoring the event and to the many Members who gave their time freely to ensure the event was delivered to the standard expected at Pollok Golf Club.

The course received a large number of very favourable comments which are the result of the hard work expended by Andy McIntee and his team who have our thanks. Finally, the service from the clubhouse from caddiemasters to the food and beverage delivery was first class and again, our thanks go to the staff involved.

Bag Tags

Membership bag tags for the current year can be picked up in the clubhouse outside the dressing room. They will be laid out in alphabetic order. If a new leather strap is required, please ask Robyn in the office.
