In recent times, Pollok spent £1.2 million on developing its clubhouse, now one of the finest in Scotland. The David Reid lounge is our casual lounge catering for drinks and snacks. The Andrew Jamieson Lounge, where dress is more formal adjoins the Dining room where a range of a la carte and table d'hote menus can be provided.
The main benefit of this gentleman’s club is that it is more than just a great golf course. It is a club. It is warm, welcoming and convivial. There are no cliques and no clannishness. Members know and play with each other as a matter of course.
Pollok offers year round golf on a course with beautiful parkland views of mature trees, lush fairways and manicured greens in a country setting just minutes by motorway from the busy offices of Glasgow city centre.
The number of members is restricted to 460 and there is no greater pleasure than to wander up at any time of the day or evening to find an empty tee awaiting you and your group. Of course, there are the days when the tee is reserved but a quiet course is the norm. Members rarely need to book tee times.
Everyone is greeted by the caddymaster who sets up clubs, batteries and caddy cars for members and visitors alike.
The course is the most important feature of any club and Pollok’s greens stand comparison with anywhere. The clubhouse is large and modern with an excellent range of catering facilities. So whether you want a quick snack before or after your game or want to sit down to lunch or dinner, the choice is yours. These facilities can also be reserved for private functions like birthday parties and weddings.
At present the club can offer immediate membership. This opportunity is likely to close within the next few months.
